2021 Pride in Law Award

Pride In Law Award 2021

Congratulations Emile McPhee on being the recipient of the 2021 Pride in Law Award. This is only the second time Pride in Law have elected to provide an award to a leader in the legal profession. It follows Stephen Page being our inaugural winner.

Over more than a decade, Emile McPhee has been in a leadership position and part of the change at the LGBTI Legal Service Inc. Emile has been a significant advocate and driving some of the LGBTIQA+ legal reforms in Queensland and Australia.

Emile is also a Senior Associate at McCullough Robertson. He is in the Banking & Finance and Property teams, with specialisations in property finance, retirement living and affordable housing. His skills across both finance and property, prior experience in private client structuring and understanding of commercial drivers, present a holistic offering for his clients.

Emile has a keen interest in community partnerships and pro bono work, sitting on the firm’s CPP Committee (coordinating the firm’s pro bono and CSR initiatives). He is an active member of pro bono networks and community legal centres in Queensland.

The Pride in Law Award recognises and rewards outstanding contribution and commitment to the practice of LGBTIQA+ inclusion in the legal profession in Queensland.

The award is proudly supported by the Queensland Law Society. We congratulate the 2021 winner of the Pride in Law Award!
